Back to Manila in Few Hours02.28.11

Not sure when will be back home… It’s already Monday. I want to stay longer here in Baguio. Though I have to admit, my legs and feet are aching so badly to the point of needing some aircast. We’ve been walking all-day long for the past few days. And today, we might drop by at the Botanical Garden or The Mansion. Not sure. I wish I have more time to spend here and make the most out of my first visit in Baguio.

Right now, my friends are trying to reserve tickets for the six of us back to Manila. Earlier, the only available trip was 6:30PM being the earliest. No updates as of the moment.

Couple’s Trip Featured Image!02.25.11

Finally, I was able to make the most out of Couple’s Trip layout. I just learned that there’s a way to set the featured image. I’ve been wondering why my theme does not look the same as the samples. Now I know! Done setting them up, too!

This is how it looks now:

Medical Emergencies02.24.11

It was so shocking to see a friend of mine who was not in good condition. Physical condition, that is. She seems to be pale and lifeless. I am worried about her especially that she has two kids. We’ve got no time to talk that much because it was late in the evening to discuss things. We’re not into text messaging as well and we’re simply relying on Facebook updates. Hope that she’ll get better. I also wish that she has Medicare plan or any health insurance to support the treatment or checkup. Or whatever is needed.

February 22, 2011 Earthquake Update02.23.11

Here’s an update about yesterday’s earthquake. I was not able to make a follow up post because I left early to process my clearance. Just got time to check it on the news – Manila Bulletin

Its epicenter was located 26 kilometers north-west of Nasugbu, Batangas. Oh, my hometown!

According to the report, New Zealand experienced a higher-intensity of earthquake killing about 65 people. Though there are no Filipino casualties, this is still a sad news for me.

New Zealand
The 6.3-magnitude earthquake hit New Zealand’s second-largest city around lunchtime, collapsing buildings and sending bricks and other heavy debris toppling into busy city streets. It was the second major quake to strike Christchurch in the past five months.

Earthquake in Manila02.22.11

I was so busy blogging and playing Backyard Monsters in Facebook when I suddenly feel that my head is spinning around. Literally swaying for about 30s-1min. I updated my FB status to confirm it there’s an actual earthquake. Yes!

Everyone felt it. But as of this writing, there’s no news or update about the intensity and center of earthquake.

This is the most that I can get online:

Belly Fat Removal02.19.11

Weight loss in general in our society has spawned literally thousands upon thousands of web sites, books, articles, etc. This obsession runs the risk of creating lies, half truths, misstatements and misunderstandings. One of the major misunderstandings is related to belly fat removal. The goal of eliminating belly fat and only belly fat is impossible. And more and more people are getting obsessed with belly fat removal just to improve their overall appearance.

You cannot dream of removing fat around the belly while leaving the fat on your arms untouched. But, you may ask, what about ab crunches, leg raises or situps – these all target the abdominal area and therefore should result in belly fat removal. These exercises strengthen your abdominal muscles and by consequence create movement in the fat. Movement has absolutely nothing to do in eliminating belly fat. This is reminiscent of the 1950′s with electric machines with the belt that was put around the buttocks. No weight loss resulted. The same is true of ab crunches etc. You cannot remove stomach fat simply by moving it around.

Heated Mattress Pads for Your Homes02.17.11

Heated mattress pads come in many forms and you should not simply buy one which appears good but rather, choose one that has good quality. This means that you should check the materials used to manufacture the product because of you are allergic to some of the materials used to develop it then it would not be favorable for you. At the same time, you should keep in mind that the heat it generates depends on its size. The bigger it is, the more wires it has and the more heat it will generate.
