Since I spent my Christmas away from home, I haven’t given my gifts yet to my family. And I am not expecting anything from them in return. I’m just so happy that my boyfriend and I were together during Christmas. It is also our 52nd month so the date was so special. As for our gifts, we are still thinking about getting another laptop for us. Yeah, we’re thinking about our future. We’re not after luxurious gift such as north face jackets or high-tech gadgets out there. We are ready to settle for something affordable yet reliable.

I was pressuring myself to accomplish a lot. So when something went wrong yesterday, I almost cried in disappointment and disbelief. I was working on my very first ebook project but I just have to start all over again… later.

Yes, I was frustrated. But I’ve learned that I really have to work on my expectations and order of priorities. I love blogging and every part of it, but there are times that I go crazy and cramming. I’d like to build links, create new post, submit articles and more.

I can do things simultaneously but I think it would be better if I can figure out which is urgent and which is important…

a lot of things you think are important, are just urgent, but not important. Focus on what really matters.

A phone call for example is always urgent – it rings only a few times and is gone, but is often not important. If you are in the middle of something truly important – playing with kids, being present with your loved one, – do not stop just because a silly phone rings. Stay present with what’s important now.

I’m always busy. Everyone knows that. Blogging is my job so I’m very dedicated and passionate about it. I love blogging so it is not difficult for me to write, build links, and earn from it. But I have to take a break from time to time. I am almost 24X7 online and people can always reach me through Facebook. But it doesn’t mean that I am all work all-day. I usually watch anime during the wee hours.

Whoa! Yeah, right, anime marathon with my boyfriend from midnight ’til dawn. It kinda works for me. We’re also watching movies that we’ve missed before. We’re done with Arakawa Under the Bridge season 1 and we might start season 2 next week.

And because those movies and animes are eating up my laptop’s disk space, I have to transfer several files to my portable hard drive. I’m thinking of burning them to DVDs but I prefer RW over the DVDs that I have right now. Since I have plans of giving away some copies to my cousins in Batangas, I’m also looking for free fast cd duplication software. Hoping to find one soon!

Suddenly, I just wanted to check my horoscope for today and I think this one has something to do with yesterday’s birthday party. Lol.

It takes patience, faith and bravery to ride out a storm … and you have all those qualities right now. In the midst of a social event today, you might feel a sweet breeze suddenly turn into a cold wind. A storm may blow over the group. Its destructive effect is not up to you — so don’t let yourself feel the weight of that responsibility. Run for cover if you must, but have faith that with honesty and compassion, the storm will be little more than a small damper on the party.

Though, I can’t remember anything like that happened last night. It was a super happy party for Selphie’s first birthday! Happy birthday my dear.

To worship God you must go beyond words to speak with your heart.

You can mouth the words of a prayer all day long and just waste your time, unless you also speak with your heart. And to speak with your heart means to embody first. If you pray for love, be loving. If you pray for wealth, be generous. If you pray for health, practice health yourself. What is your favorite prayer? How can you begin to embody it?

While browsing for old posts, I’ve noticed that there’s no footer or link in my template that says “Older posts” or something. Rather than checking the Archives, sometimes I prefer clicking left or right arrows on the bottom of the page to show previous or next page. Because of this minor issue, I decided to change my blog layout!

Now, you can see “Previous Entries” or “Next Entries” at the bottom of the page. Did you notice that they’re both green? Of course, that’s my favorite color so even if I switched to a new theme, the base color remains GREEN. Is the new one better?

Are you fond of anime? If so, you might appreciate cosplay events! Toycon 2011 was held at Megatrade Hall, SM Megamall last June 18 and I was able to take snapshots of some cosplayers. There were lots of pretty girls in costumes such as sailor school uniforms, nurse uniforms, maid cafe outfits and more. Some are interesting video game outfits while others are dressed as common anime characters. Among them all, I liked Luka Megurine (cosplayed by Marty) best! Today is my bestfriend’s birthday and I miss her so much. It’s been 2 months since I last saw her at Batangas. We are working away from our homes so we rarely see each other. We’re bestfriend since first year of college. Actually, our friendship started months before our high school graduation. Thanks to the scholarship grant, we become best of friends until now. I’m so happy that we keep in touch no matter what. And now that it’s her birthday, I wish her all the best.

I love you, Sol! Stay cheerful and lovely as you are! I know I don’t have to give you slimming pills as birthday present. You’re getting sexier on your own so keep it up!

No, no! Just kidding. This body of water is so sulfurous that I didn’t see any swimming fish on my first visit.

I was tempted to bring some bowfishing equipment with me but my things were too heavy already considering my backpack and DSLR. I soo love my trip to Mt. Pinatubo! The climb was challenging and fun! We trekked for more than 2 hours but it’s all worth it with this view:

I had so much fun! Can’t get over with that overwhelming feeling yet!

I was amused with the glistening waters and breathtaking lakefront views. The sunlight was invigorating, the breeze was so refreshing. What a lovely, wonderful sight! The scene was really captivating. I wanted to shout, I’m the Queen of the world!!! The splendid panorama enthralled my senses and triggered my unspoken fantasies. I never imagined that life away from the city could be this luxurious. – Liz
