I usually go shopping and do the grocery with my debit card. That’s big thanks to EON card, I can go on cashless shopping. But there are times that my Paypal funds were not transferred in time. At times like this, I have to budget my cash on hand. And I was almost terrified to know that I only have 500 pesos cash when I just wanted to buy for a one week supply of goods from the supermarket!

So that’s the challenge… to buy things that won’t cost me more than 500. In the end, here’s what I was able to buy from PureGold:

Yay! Thanks to my boyfriend for helping me!

I just learned how to play the guitar months ago. That’s big thanks to my boyfriend. I am not inclined to music and it just happened by chance. Or should we say, by fate? I was with him one night when the electricity went off and we really had nothing to do. So out of boredom, I got his guitar and started strumming. Nonsense strums as you may say. And then he teach me the different chords and guitar playing basics! In no time, I can play the guitar all by myself.

Though lately, I haven’t laid my fingers on that guitar. I’m very busy with lots of online stuff and other things. But I’m not giving up. I will play again. My boyfriend also said that we have to upgrade our acoustic guitar. So we’re thinking about buying a new one. How about this package?

Maybe, we should also get some accessories and effects such as vht special 6! Yay! Way to go! I have to practice more and save lots to buy a brand new guitar!

Sounds insane to me! Yesterday, I was not able to go online using my SMART Bro plugin and could not even send a message or call using my cellphone with SMART sim. I had no idea what’s going on. I was just pissed off because I couldn’t do anything. Though I tried to send a request to my network provider to increase signal, I just got a message saying “No Network Access”. I verified it to other SMART subscribers who are nearby and found out that their phones have no signal as well. No hope to even contact the Customer Service.

And guess what I learned today… The Black Nazarene parade yesterday has something to do with it. Malacañang confirmed that they initiate the telecommunication shutdown within the areas of Black Nazarene parade due to reports of possible terrorist attack. While it is true that it can help disrupting terrorists means of communication, it is also inconvenience for the civilian who might be in danger. How can they contact people for help? How can they report suspicious activity? And even the people who are at home (like me), were also affected!

Since I spent my Christmas away from home, I haven’t given my gifts yet to my family. And I am not expecting anything from them in return. I’m just so happy that my boyfriend and I were together during Christmas. It is also our 52nd month so the date was so special. As for our gifts, we are still thinking about getting another laptop for us. Yeah, we’re thinking about our future. We’re not after luxurious gift such as north face jackets or high-tech gadgets out there. We are ready to settle for something affordable yet reliable.

What’s up folks? What are you doing lately? If you’re still busy with your Christmas preparations, consider taking a quick break. Reading a funny comics or watching light action movies can help you relax. And we’re doing the latter here. The Christmas rush can be so suffocating so it is a must to unwind once in a while. You don’t have to go that far. Staying at home is sometimes way better. The latest movie we have watched is Bunraku. Quite unique action film.

We are also making the most out of online streaming. Since it is a bit difficult to download old animes, we contented ourselves with free online streaming. We’re on the second season of Slayers now and the anime copy is quite good.

I wonder if YouTube have copies of this anime because I didn’t bother searching. But if there is any, I might use you tube video downloader to have personal copies. Plus, I can watch animes even if I am not connected online. And I can do it anytime instead of streaming during midnight because it is the time when our internet connection is most stable.

I was pressuring myself to accomplish a lot. So when something went wrong yesterday, I almost cried in disappointment and disbelief. I was working on my very first ebook project but I just have to start all over again… later.

Yes, I was frustrated. But I’ve learned that I really have to work on my expectations and order of priorities. I love blogging and every part of it, but there are times that I go crazy and cramming. I’d like to build links, create new post, submit articles and more.

I can do things simultaneously but I think it would be better if I can figure out which is urgent and which is important…

a lot of things you think are important, are just urgent, but not important. Focus on what really matters.

A phone call for example is always urgent – it rings only a few times and is gone, but is often not important. If you are in the middle of something truly important – playing with kids, being present with your loved one, – do not stop just because a silly phone rings. Stay present with what’s important now.

Life is full of struggles. Sometimes, we have to deal with the daily challenges on our own. Remember, you can do it! Rest if you must, but don’t you quit!

If you ever need a helping hand, you’ll find one at the end of your arm.

And a time always comes when you discover that you have two hands: one for helping yourself, the other for helping others.

And there are also other people who are willing to extend a helping hand to you. We call them… our loved ones.

I’m always busy. Everyone knows that. Blogging is my job so I’m very dedicated and passionate about it. I love blogging so it is not difficult for me to write, build links, and earn from it. But I have to take a break from time to time. I am almost 24X7 online and people can always reach me through Facebook. But it doesn’t mean that I am all work all-day. I usually watch anime during the wee hours.

Whoa! Yeah, right, anime marathon with my boyfriend from midnight ’til dawn. It kinda works for me. We’re also watching movies that we’ve missed before. We’re done with Arakawa Under the Bridge season 1 and we might start season 2 next week.

And because those movies and animes are eating up my laptop’s disk space, I have to transfer several files to my portable hard drive. I’m thinking of burning them to DVDs but I prefer RW over the DVDs that I have right now. Since I have plans of giving away some copies to my cousins in Batangas, I’m also looking for free fast cd duplication software. Hoping to find one soon!
