There is a right time for each of the things you do.
If you try to live counter to your personal rhythms, you will expend more time and energy to get things done. Body and soul suffer when you force yourself to wrestle against your own rhythms. Listen to your rhythms and follow them.
You have to continuously trust yourself. If you do not, then you will forever be looking to others to prove your own merit to you, and you will never be satisfied. You will always be asking others what to do and at the same time resenting their help. Trust in yourself starts with being ok with the consequences of your decisions.
Everything that irritates you about others, is your key to understanding yourself.
What angers you in another person is an unhealed aspect of yourself. If you had already resolved that particular issue, you would not be irritated by its reflection back to you.
You are only as free as you imagine yourself to be.
There is nothing ”out there” that’s holding you down, – you are limiting yourself only with your own imagination. And your greatest limits are not even the ”cannot” and the ”should not”, but the places where your imagination hasn’t yet gone at all. There has never been a better time for you to open your eyes, let the imagination soar and see what more is possible.
Your are commanded to love everyone, not condemn those who don’t agree with you.
Your opinions are just that, – opinions, regardless of where you got them from. They are tiny, a speck compared to the immensity of God. You cannot possibly have even the faintest idea of what God commands to other people, to other lifeforms. Your only possible intelligent choice is to continuously open in love and acceptance. Today more than yesterday.
I was pressuring myself to accomplish a lot. So when something went wrong yesterday, I almost cried in disappointment and disbelief. I was working on my very first ebook project but I just have to start all over again… later.
Yes, I was frustrated. But I’ve learned that I really have to work on my expectations and order of priorities. I love blogging and every part of it, but there are times that I go crazy and cramming. I’d like to build links, create new post, submit articles and more.
I can do things simultaneously but I think it would be better if I can figure out which is urgent and which is important…
a lot of things you think are important, are just urgent, but not important. Focus on what really matters.
A phone call for example is always urgent – it rings only a few times and is gone, but is often not important. If you are in the middle of something truly important – playing with kids, being present with your loved one, – do not stop just because a silly phone rings. Stay present with what’s important now.
When you expect nothing, you always receive a lot.
No matter how much you receive, if you expected even more, you will be disappointed. No matter how little you receive, if you expected even less, you will be happy.
Your happiness depends on you… on your own perspective…
How do you see it?
Life is full of struggles. Sometimes, we have to deal with the daily challenges on our own. Remember, you can do it! Rest if you must, but don’t you quit!
If you ever need a helping hand, you’ll find one at the end of your arm.
And a time always comes when you discover that you have two hands: one for helping yourself, the other for helping others.
And there are also other people who are willing to extend a helping hand to you. We call them… our loved ones.
Recession is also a time of great opportunity.
Time and time again success has its roots in failure, because failure knocks you down from top of the hill so you can then climb a mountain. Yes it’s unsettling, yes it’s scary. But this can be your greatest opportunity in life, – if you choose it. The recession has cleared the space of clutter, – think what have you always wanted to do but brushed aside from the top of your hill? Now is the time…
Things to ponder if you’ve made a mistake:
It’s never too late to get back on track. Never has anyone gone so far on the wrong path that they cannot return to the right one. Never has anyone become so wayward that they cannot benefit from the true light.
